At the time filing bill of entry of  Fabric • SQM calculation is as below 
, 

Example 

Width 58 inch X 2•54 meter = 147•32 meter

1 meter = 147•32/100 = 1•473 meter

Total length 240 meter

SQM = 1•473 X 240 = Total Fabric SQM 353•568.
